Chiropractic Care
We perform gentle hands-on adjusting for adults and children to correct fixations and misalignment of the spine and extremities. Flexion-distraction, Thompson Drop Technique, and Diversified Technique are all utilized in our office. We also use a variety of muscle treatments including ultrasound, electric stimulation, and intersegmental traction.
We provide advanced spinal correction and chiropractic adjustments utilizing "state of the art" chiropractic techniques. Never in the history of chiropractic care have chiropractors been able to provide the level of help and expertise that is available today. Many of the newest chiropractic techniques are actually safer, more comfortable and more effective than ever before. As a chiropractor who cares about utilizing the most advanced chiropractic techniques, Dr. Laura Gardiner has years of training, expertise and experience in helping patients get pain relief for back pain, neck pain, headaches, and other related conditions originating from the spine. Chiropractic care under a trained professional can even be used to prevent injuries and help you achieve total health or wellness.
Supportive Modalities
We use a variety of proven techniques in addition to Chiropractic adjustments. These will most frequently include Electrical Muscle Stimulation (EMS) to reduce pain from tight and sore muscles, Ultrasound to reduce inflammation quickly, and Intersegmental Spinal Traction with a Roller Table. These techniques will significantly augment the results of your care.
Graston Technique
Graston Technique® is an innovative form of instrument-assisted soft-tissue mobilization that enables clinicians to break down scar tissue and connective tissue restrictions. The technique utilizes specially designed stainless steel instruments to detect and treat areas exhibiting soft-tissue fibrosis or chronic inflammation.

Corrective Exercises
At BodyWise Chiropractic, we teach our patients how to perform special "blueprint" exercises which can help strengthen and correct the irregularities in their body which may be causing pain. Many of these corrective exercises can actually be performed in the comfort of your own home to help improve the effectiveness of your chiropractic care and spinal correction plan. In addition to skeletal misalignment, you may be experiencing pain that is caused by muscles and connective tissues which are out of their proper place. Other types of pain such as back pain, neck pain, and headaches are caused by muscles and tissues that are being used improperly, causing injuries over time. In each case, targeted corrective exercises and stretches from our experienced chiropractor will help you feel good while also helping your body achieve balance and health.
Digital X-Ray
Digital X-ray technology enables chiropractors to produce x-ray images without the use of film or chemicals, and to save and share images electronically, while using the smallest radiation dose possible.

Massage Therapy
Massage Therapy is the manual manipulation and treatment of soft body tissues (muscle, connective tissue, tendons and ligaments) to enhance a person's health and well-being. The benefits of therapeutic massage include relief from aches and pains, and the release of chronic tension due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries. Massage therapy also promotes greater flexibility and enhanced mental clarity. At Bodywise Chiropractic, you may request a deep tissue massage, or a more relaxing Swedish massage. Each session is personalized to your specific needs and preferences.
Massage therapy does more than make you feel good, it can actually help your body achieve balance and health. Massage therapy offers a natural treatment approach which actually relieves musculoskeletal pain for many patients. Our chiropractic office provides specific massage and muscular therapy that is complimentary to their chiropractic care. Each massage therapy plan is tailored to meet the patient's unique pain condition or injury. The benefits of massage therapy may include the increase of blood circulation, a localized reduction in swelling and the relaxation of muscles. Massage has been known to relieve muscle pain and spasms, increase a patient's range of motion, while also aiding in a patient's recovery. Some investigative studies have even indicated that a single session of massage may help boost your immune system.
Instrument Adjustments
The ArthroStim® instrument can produce a dozen spring-cushioned mini-toggle-recoil™ thrusts per second. Rapid, repetitive thrusting enables a practitioner to distribute the overall thrusting force over a series of thrusts. This can be a great advantage for working with clients who are sensitive, or in pain.
Spinal Decompression Therapy
Spinal decompression works by gently stretching the spine which takes pressure off the spinal discs, the gel-like cushions between the verterae, by creating negative pressure in the disc. As a result, bulging or herniated discs may retract which helps to relieve nerve pain. Decompression also takes pressure off the joints in your spine. This in turn, helps promote transfer of water, oxygen, and nutrient-rich fluids into the discs so they can heal.
